DB-15 DB-15

DB-15 - Definition and Overview

D-shell connection, with a total of 15 pins across two rows. (The wider row contains 8 pins; the narrower 7). These connectors are (or were) commonly used for "game ports" (a.k.a. joystick ports) on sound cards and for 10base5 (a.k.a. "thicknet") Ethernet connectors. In the case of the "game ports", these connectors often (usually? always?) doubled as MIDI connectors.
