The Danish TV 2 is a government-owned television station broadcasting from Odense on Funen. Historically it has been funded via TV-license and commercials, but starting in July 2004 the main channel doesn't receive TV-license fees. The regional channels are still partly funded this way. It has established itself as a more youth-oriented channel (compared to the also government-owned Danish Broadcast Corporation) with several American sit-coms. It has two daughter-stations named TV 2 Zulu and TV 2 Charlie. In December 2004 the internet-based pay-per-view channel TV 2 Sputnik starts broadcasting.
TV 2's regional channels are:
- TV Syd - Southern Jutland
- TV 2/Fyn - Funen
- TV 2/Øst - Eastern Zealand
- TV 2/Nord - Northern Jutland
- TV 2/Lorry - Western Zealand
- TV/Midt-Vest - Central and Western Jutland
- TV 2/Østjylland - Eastern Jutland
- TV 2/Bornholm - Bornholm
