Da Pump - Definition

Da pump (ダパンプ）) is a popular Japanese singing and dancing hiphop group. There are four members and they are all born in Okinawa.

• Issa (born December 9, 1978)
• Ken (born December 17, 1979)
• Yukinari (born November 5, 1979)
• Shinobu (born February 15, 1980)

Biography

They are famed for their ability in both dancing and singing and their good looks. Their debut was in 1997, with the song Feelin' Good - It's PARADISE. They came from Okinawa Actors School. Now Da pump is part of the Avex Network and their producer is Akio Togashi. The songs are up tempo and there is rap in most of the songs. They often appear in TV shows, movies, and magazines.

Da pump has released nineteen songs so far and some of the famous ones are, "Rhapsody in Blue", "Crazy Bear Goes On!", "if...". Their newest single, out right now, is "Circle of Life". They have also released seven albums and the newest one is called "Da Best of Da Pump Japan Tour 2003 Reborn".

In 2003, they began doing some solo activities.
