Daniel Yergin is an American author and economic researcher. He is best known for his book The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power which was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for General Non-fiction. The book was adapted into a PBS mini-series. He was awarded the 1997 United States Energy Award for "lifelong achievements in energy and the promotion of international understanding." Yergin is the chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates,
