Dave Weckl (born January 8, 1960) is a jazz fusion composer and drummer. He used programmable drum machines with the Chick Corea Elektric Band.
Starting out on the New York fusion scene, Weckl soon found himself working with players such as Corea, Michel Camilo and Anthony Jackson. Since 1990, he has released several recordings as a leader of his own band. He has also been active producing instructional material for drummers.
