David Bautista best known as Batista (born January 18, 1969 in Washington, DC) is a professional wrestler currently working for World Wrestling Entertainment's RAW brand.

Batista began his WWE career alongside Reverand D'Von known as Deacon Batista on the SmackDown! brand. Soon after, he went to RAW and joined Triple H and Ric Flair and (then member) Randy Orton to become part of Evolution.

Recently, his personality differences with Triple H have led to Batista getting cheered more often than not by fans, although Batista remains a loyal member of Evolution.

His Royal Rumble victory on January 30 2005 earned him the right to participate in the main event of WrestleMania 21 against the champion of his choice; as of February 2 he has yet to choose between World Heavyweight Champion Triple H of RAW or WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield of SmackDown!.

Of Filipino and Greek heritage, he is wedded with two daughters. His wife Angie is a survivor of ovarian cancer.
