In the Warhammer 40,000 universe, the Deathwing is the First Company of the Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter.
The Deathwing is composed exclusively of Terminator-equipped marines. The armour is painted in a bone colour scheme to remember the lone squad of Dark Angel Terminators who defended their homeworld from a Tyranid invasion. Moreso than the regular Dark Angels, the Deathwing is stubborn and resistant, refusing to buckle under pressure from enemy advances.
When a Dark Angel marine receives the coveted promotion to the Deathwing, he learns the secret mission of the Chapter: they are hunting the Fallen, former Dark Angels who have been tainted by Chaos, in order to bring them to justice.
Deathwing is also the name for the first expansion produced for the Games Workshop game Space Hulk. The expansion is named after the Deathwing company.
