He began his career in 1991 when the show Doug premiered, for which he was the creative director. In 1993 he began to work on another cartoon Rocko's Modern Life, which he was an episode writer for. He also worked on the Kablaam! skit Action League NOW! as a producer. He also worked on Hey Arnold! which premiered in 1996. Most of his other shows were cancelled in 1997, but he continued to work on shows. He co-wrote the Catdog episode "Doggone", which, although Catdog was generally regarded as a "bad" show and received low ratings, was nominated for an emmy. He then joined the dream trio of ex-Rocko's Modern Life executive producer Stephen Hillenburg and ex-Angry Beavers story editor Merriwhether Williams, who were the core creative workers for Spongebob Squarepants, created by Hillenburg and creatively directed by Drymon, Spongebob aired in 1999 and became Drymon's most sucessful project. He took over the show in 2004 when Hillenburg left and is now leading production of the show. Starting with the upcoming 4th Season.
