Desert trooper - Definition and Overview

In the fictional Star Wars universe, the Desert Trooper or Sandtrooper is an Imperial Stormtrooper equipped with modified armour and equipment to withstand the harsh climates of desert planets like Tatooine. Though their armour is similar to that of a regular Stormtrooper, advanced cooling systems in both their helmets and suits offer them protection from the relentless heat. Their weapons include blaster pistols and blaster rifles.
