Die Prinzen - Definition and Overview

Die Prinzen are a German music group specializing in a cappella. Its members were all members of the Thomanerchor of the Thomaskirche (St. Thomas Church) in Leipzig, where, incidentally, Bach was music director for many years.

The lyrics of their songs are often humourous and tongue-in-cheek critical of German government or society. They gained popularity in Germany after a long hiatus with their song "Olli Kahn", referring to Germany's star World Cup goalie Oliver Kahn.

The band's lead singer is Sebastian Krumbiegel, and their most popular singles have been "Millionär" and "Deutschland"
