Din I Illahi
Akbar was the first King who followed liberal policies towards religions other then Islam. He loved philosophical and religious discussions. This led to the worship of Ibadatkhana or the hall of worship at Fatepur Sikri. From the discutions held at Fatepur Sikri, he concluded that no single religion could claim the monopoly of truth. Due to this he formed a new religious order called the Din-I-Illahi. It means Universal Harmony.
