Discordance - Definition and Overview


Discord is a noun in the English language.

In the television series Xena: Warrior Princess, Discord is the daughter of Zeus and Hera. She joins her brother. Ares, in his quest to destroy Hercules, and was killed by Xena. She was based off the goddess Eris in ancient Greek mythology, who was named Discordia in Roman mythology.

Discord are also a band from Caherdavin in Limerick city, Ireland. The band members are Adrian O'Regan, John Burrowes, Rory O'Dwyer, Adrian De Cléir and the infamous Martin Garcia Mortell. Their original music includes the tracks The Colour Of Winter, Sentence I Rise, 'Till The Last Breath, (Treacherous) Mother Kürsk and The Affliction. Discord is also another name for the Roman Goddess Discordia.
