The Disney Legends awards are given annually by The Walt Disney Company to honor individuals who have made a notable contribution to the company. The awards were first given in 1987.
Up until 2002, the awards were presented by CEO Michael Eisner and Head of Feature Animation Roy Disney (who is also the nephew of Walt Disney). The 2003 and 2004 awards were presented by Eisner and President Robert A Iger, after Disney resigned.
