The Division of Corio is an Australian Electoral Division in Victoria. The division was first proclaimed in 1901.
About the electorate
The division is named after Corio Bay, an name that originated from an Aboriginal word 'coraiyo' meaning 'small marsupial' or 'sandy cliffs'. Corio Bay is a bay in southwest part of Port Phillip, the same area as the electoral division.
