Don Arden was best known as for overseeing the careers of Electric Light Orchestra and Black Sabbath and for his unflinching attitude towards venues and promoters who failed to meet their commitments to his acts.
He is also the father of Sharon Osbourne, and therefore father-in-law to Ozzy.
