Down is a Southern heavy metal band that was formed in 1994 and split up in 1996, then reformed in 2001. The band's current status is unknown with most of the members pursuing other projects.
Down is made up of members from several bands, including Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, Corrosion of Conformity and Eyehategod.
After the December 2004 murder of Pantera/Damageplan guitarist, Dimebag Darrell, Phil Anselmo has hinted that he may not be continuing any musical projects in the near future.
