Dream sharing is a hypothetical dream state in which two or more individuals participate in the same dream. Dream sharers would be able to interact within the dream environment, wake up and recount the same dream details to each other in waking life. This hypothetical dream sharing would rely either upon telepathic communication between the dreamers, or upon the existence of a "dream universe" somewhere in an alternate state of reality. In theory, shared dreaming can occur with or without lucidity (conscious control of the dream environment).
