Dutton/Dunwich, Ontario - Definition

Dutton/Dunwich is a small community area in Southwestern Ontario, Canada. It holds three villages, Dutton, Wallacetown, and Iona. Dutton is the largest with an approximate population of 1100. Dutton/Dunwich houses a large farming community involving a variety of agricultural methods. The region is primarily made up of inhabitants of English ancestry, with minorities of Scottish, Portugese, and Dutch heritage. The most well known person to originate from Dutton/Dunwich was John Kenneth Galbraith. Dutton has one library, four churches, many small businesses, and one junior school.
