Eadgyth - Definition

Eadgyth or Edith (910 - 26 January 946)was the daughter of Edward the Elder, King of England and Elfleda. Edith's grandfather was Alfred the Great, King of the West Saxons (or King of Wessex).

In 929, Edith and the future Otto I the Great of the Holy Roman Empire were married. Her tomb is located at the Cathedral of Magdeburg.
