East Lothian or Haddingtonshire is one of 32 unitary council regions in Scotland, and a Lieutenancy Area. It borders onto City of Edinburgh, Scottish Borders and Midlothian. Its administrative capital is Haddington, and its large town is Musselburgh.
The area is a traditional county also, and as such it borders Midlothian to the west, and Berwickshire to the south.
