East Suffolk - Definition and Overview |

East Suffolk, along with West Suffolk, was created in 1888 as an administrative county of England in its own right. It survived until 1974 when it was merged with its neighbour to form Suffolk.
East Suffolk's county town was Ipswich, which was a county borough in its own right.
