Brazil is by far the largest economy in South America, ranking roughly 10th among the world's economies. Brazilians produce anything from jetliners to cars, aside from being one of the world's larges agricultural powerhouses and possessing mighty steel and mining sectors. The majority of Brazil's industries and services is located in its South, mainly in the state of São Paulo.

The South American Community of Nations (SACN) will be a continent-wide free trade zone that will unite two existing free-trade organizations—Mercosur and the Andean Community—eliminating tariffs for non-sensitive products in ten years and sensitive products in fifteen years.
