Ed Barrow (born on 10 May 1868 in Springfield, Illinois and died on 15 December 1953 in Port Chester, New York) was a baseball manager under the Detroit Tigers and the Boston Red Sox. He first worked in the American League under the Detroit Tigers during the 1903 and 1904 seasons where the team finished 5th and 7th respectively. His biggest achievement was during his first year under the Boston Red Sox in 1918 when he took them to number one, winning the World Series. He managed the team for the following two years where they finished sixth and fifth respectively. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1953.
