Eddie (character from Frasier) - Definition

Eddie (Crane) is the anthropomorphic dog in the American television sitcom Frasier.

In the series, Eddie belongs to Martin Crane, Frasier's father. He is known for responding to Marty and Daphne with human-like understanding, but a standing joke is that Eddie simply stares at Frasier, an example of a sight gag.

Eddie was often featured in the closing sequences of the sitcom when the closing theme is sung as the credits are given. The action in the closing sequences relates to a joke earlier in the program.

Eddie was played by Moose, a Jack Russell Terrier. Moose's son Enzo later appeared as a stunt double.
