Edge Radio is a community radio station situated in the Australian city of Hobart. It is a youth orientated station, with most of its presenters under the age of thirty.
Edge Radio likes to focus on local music, running a Tasmanian music show weekly. It also broadcasts a brilliant show boasting the best of Australian music.
The presenters are all volunteers.
Its frequency in the Hobart area is 99.3FM
History
A four week trial period ended in August 2002 after which Edge Radio was awarded a permanent community radio licence. This was a great event for the youth of Hobart as Edge Radio could actively involve Hobarts younger audience better than similar youth radio station Triple J Edge Radio commenced permanent broadcast in February 2003.
