Eindhoven Airport is a small airport near Eindhoven, Netherlands. Its IATA Airport Code is EIN. It is a hub for KLM exel.
The airport is being used for both civilian and military traffic. After World War II up until a few years ago, Eindhoven Airport was called Welschap.
During WWII it was extensively bombed. When construction started of the new Meerhoven district in the vicinity of the airport, a lot of bombs were found and had to be defused.
On july 17 1996, a C-130 Hercules plane crashed at the airport. The plane caught fire and in the intense heat, 34 people died.
KLM exel and Ryanair fly scheduled flights into Eindhoven.
"Last Minutes" are done by Corendon Vlieg Airlines, GTI Travel, HTC Reisen, and Kras SterVakantie.
Ryanair does "City Trips" to London Stansted, Barcelona, and Milan.
