Elysaria is the name, not only of a whole fantasy world, but also of the main continent of this world, both of which were created by Claire Sankey and Paul Parkinson.
Continents
The world of Elysaria consists of the following continents:
- Elysaria: Perhaps the safest continent in the world of Elysaria, it is inhabited by a range of creatures, from humans in the town of Bramdeane, to fairies in the magical town of Alatadula.
- Iculvasia: A snowy, bleak continent which is home to many mammoth-like beasts and a human tribe named the 'Daardani.' The evil Squarnaks also dwell in an icy mountain palace hidden within the depths of Iculvasia.
- Saurischia: A tropical continent within which dwell many strange dinosaur-like creatures. It is rumoured also that the volcano situated in the centre of this large land mass also harbours strange fire-loving monsters.
- Sanctiana: A holy island, not much is known about this strange place. It is rumoured that this island hides a stairway to the heavens, in which angels and dead warriors protect the gates to heaven itself.
MMORPG
Elysaria has also been turned into a popular MMORPG by a team of computer programmers and game developers, and is beginning to attract fan sites across the world.
Much of the storyline focuses around the human fight against the evil Squarnaks who seek world domination through genetic manipulation of all the creatures of Elysaria.
