Eros (operating system) - Definition and Overview

EROS (The Extremely Reliable Operating System) is an operating system developed by the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University. It has some very interesting features, but is mostly used as a research project. The real world usage is currently unknown. It has automatic data persistence, real-time support, it is POSIX compatible, and has a capability security scheme.

EROS is based on its predecessor KeyKOS.
