An Exhibition game is a sporting event in which there is no gain or loss from whether the competitors are victorious are not in any competition.

In American sports, exhibition games usually take the form of a handful of pre-season games that are intended to familiarize teammates and get them ready for upcoming matches. Occasionally - though more commonly in other countries - exhibition matches are used either as friendly matches or for other special events.
