Irish curse, used freely in the sitcom Father Ted. Assumed to be an alternative word for fuck, although it should be noted the word does not carry as much offence, and is quite commonly used in Ireland in the same manner that bugger is used in Australia. Also an archaic shortening of 'effect'.
As a parody of French Connection's fcuk label, "Fcek - Irish Connection" has been seen on t-shirts.
