Feint: to fake something, to decive someone else.
There are roughly two types of feint, in military tactics
Feint Attack: A attack designed to draw defensive action away from an intended target.
Example: Attacking an enemy's city (A), as to make the enemy's army to move to that city(A), while the REAL attack engages another city(B), which is not defended
Feint Retreat: When engaged with an enemy, a retreat intended to draw pursuit into a prepared ambush.
Example: The enemy's army will then think they are winning, and follow the "weakened" army to try to finish the blow, but once in friendly territory, your army turns around, and attack the weakened stragglers who try to follow the army.
