Characters

Playable characters and their starting classes

Born in the Sacean Plains, her parents (Hassar and Madelyn) were killed by bandits. She lived alone in her house until she finds a tactitian (the player) lying on the ground. She then decides that nothing will change if she does not leave, so she goes in search of her maternal grandfather Lord Hausen, who she hopes will take her in.
  • Eliwood (Lord)
A swordsman on a quest to find his father, Elbert, who had been kidnapped by the Dark Druid Nergal. Eliwood battles with a group of assassins called the Black Fang, morphs, and lastly a Fire Dragon to reach his destination. He is equipped with a rapier and later the Durandal which he uses to battle Nergal.
  • Hector (Lord)
  • Sain (Cavalier)
  • Wallace (Knight)
  • Lowen (Cavalier)
  • Rebecca (Archer)
  • Bartre (Fighter)
  • Oswin (Knight)
Guy is part of the Sacaen tribe, Kutolah, which also is Rath's tribe. Guy joined enemy mercenaries in order to survive, but is recruited on to Eliwood's group by Matthew. Guy was in debted to Matthew, because he had given him food when he needed it most, so joining the group was part of repaying it. Guy was determined to become the best swordsman in Sacae and had achieved the title, Saint of Swords. Theory is that this was a mistake done by Nintendo, for the same title is used by Karel in Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi. Error or not it is shown that Guy achieved his goal of becoming a master swordsman.
  • Fiora (Pegasus Knight)
  • Legault (Thief)
A dancer and the brother of Nils, a bard. They both hold a terrible and destructive secret in their hearts. Their dances or music enable allies to move again or increase their stats.
  • Isadora (Paladin)
  • Rath (Nomad)
  • Hawkeye (Beserker)
  • Karel (Swordmaster)
"The sword is my life. The sword is my reason," is his motto. He is legendary for killing anyone he views worthy without any remorse or hesitation whatsoever. As a matter of fact, when training Guy, and when he meets his long lost sister, Karla, he barely restrains himself from killing them.
  • Farina (Pegasus Knight)
  • Nino (Mage)
  • Vaida (Wyvern Lord)
  • Karla (Swordmaster)
  • Athos (Archsage)
