Flat River is a river in Michigan that runs through Kent County and Montcalm County. It is crossed by the Fallasburg Covered Bridge and White's Covered Bridge. It joins the Grand River near Lowell, Michigan. It is the river named in the song "Sad Ballad of Jack Haggerty" aka "Flat River Girl."
