Floriade - Definition

Floriade is a flower and entertainment festival held annually in Canberra's Commonwealth Park. The festival attracts tourists from all over Australia. Floriade is run every Spring, and is considered the most important regular event for tourism to the Australian Capital Territory.

It is also a large flower and gardening exhibition, held every 10 years in The Netherlands. The locations varies:

• 1960 - Rotterdam
• 1972 - Amsterdam
• 1982 - Amsterdam
• 1992 - The Hague
• 2002 - Haarlemmermeer
