Frank Bell (January 28, 1840-February 13, 1927) was a Governor of Nevada. He was a Republican.
Bell was born in Toronto, Canada, making him Nevada's frist foreign born Governor. He came to came Nevada in 1858, to supervise the construction of a transcontinental telegraph line though the state. He worked on this project until 1860. Later, Bell became a telegraph operater and was one of operators who telegraphed Nevada's Constitution to Washington D.C. in 1864.
Bell served as Acting Governor when Governor Stevenson signed a disability certificate on September 1, 1890. Bell did not seek a full term, serving until the inaguguration of Governor Colcord in 1891.
Bell died in Oakland on February 13, 1927, at the home of his daughter.
