Sir Frederic Calland Williams (1911 - 1977), known as 'Freddie Williams', was an English engineer. With Tom Kilburn he pioneered the stored-program digital computer at the University of Manchester. He is particularly well known for his invention of the Williams-Kilburn tube, and early memory device, and the Manchester Mark I computer.
