Frederick Townsend Ward (Born Salem Mass, 1831-21 September 1862) and was killed in action with Tse-Kee.

As a Steamboat Captain,Mercenary, he was the founder of "The ever Victorious Army" and belived to have gained Military experience in Mexico and the Crimean War. He was also hired by the Qing Imperial Merchants to Defend Shanghai in August 1860.
