Free World Dialup is a non-commercial Voice over IP network, founded by Jeff Pulver, that allows users to make free telephone calls using VoIP to other Free World Dialup users around the world. Free World Dialup also permits limited connections to the public switched telephone network (PSTN), for example, it is currently possible to make calls from Free World Dialup to toll-free numbers in the United States and certain other countries, and to receive calls from the PSTN via gateway numbers in some cities.
