Freecraft was an open source real time strategy computer game engine. The maintainers of the Freecraft project received a cease and desist letter from Blizzard entertainment due to the name "Freecraft" causing possible confusion with the names Starcraft and Warcraft, and the Blizzard's assertion that some of the ideas within the engine were too similar to Warcraft 2. As of June 20 2003 development for Freecraft has stopped and it is no longer availlable for download.
