Freesbie - Definition and Overview |
Freesbie is a liveCD version of the BSD Operating System based on FreeBSD. Boot time from the CD is very drawn out, due to the relatively slow seek time of the CD-ROM drive. The operating system may have a delay when opening programs, since it must be drawn of the disc each time. Fluxbox is included. The system comes ready for work and play. Multiple media players, browsers, and OpenOffice.org are included.
There is an option to install to a hard disk, which significantly improves performance.
