Friedrich Hund - Definition and Overview

Friedrich Hund (February 4, 1896 - March 31, 1997) was a German physicist best known for his work on the structure of atoms and molecules.

Hund taught and did research at German universities (Rostock, Leipzig, Jena, Frankfurt am Main, and Göttingen) exclusively. Heisenberg is perhaps best known for discovering, in 1927, that determining the position and momentum of a particle necessarily contains errors the product of which cannot be less than the quantum constant h
