Future Century (FC) is an alternative Gundam timeline seen in G Gundam. In the Future Century, the ruling elite leave earth for space colonies in FC01. Two years later a full scale war developes on the earth as each colonies parent nation lapses further and further into anarchy. After regaining control of the earths nations, the colonies decide to end war by holding a Gundam Fight every four years. The nation represent by the winning gundam earns the right to rule the earth for the next four years.
The designation of a Gundam Fight gundam is written out as follows: GF<number of Gundam Fight>-<rank in previous Gundam Fight><initials of nation>. Ranks in the first Gundam Fight were presumably assigned on alphabetical order of contestants' names.
The thirteenth Gundam Fight is held in FC 60.
