G4 Media is the Comcast-owned company in charge of producing originally G4TV; A 24-hour Tv network dedicated to video games. In early 2004, G4 Media announced that Comcast would purchase G4's closest competitor, TechTV. On May 28, 2004, G4 and TechTV merged into a hybrid network called G4techTV. Unfortunatly, it seemed to be leaned more towards the gaming sides, and in February 2005, TechTV will be dropped from the name, leaving a new network in it's place, called G4: Video Game Television.
