GMTV - Definition and Overview

Good Morning Television (GMTV) is the national breakfast franchise of the British ITV network. It began broadcasting in 1993, replacing the previous contractor, TV-am.

Now Europe’s biggest breakfast broadcaster, GMTV reaching 13 million viewers a week, it transmits an award-winning blend of news, features, sport, consumer and health advice, plus highly popular competitions.

Its sister channel GMTV2 appeals to kids and adults, broadcasting every morning between 6-9.25am.

It is 75% owned by ITV plc and 25% owned by Disney.
