The Great Western Railway Hawthorn Class 2-4-0 broad gauge steam locomotives for passenger train work. This class was introduced into service between April 1865 and February 1866, and withdrawn between March 1876 and the end of the GWR broad gauge in May 1892. After withdrawal, Hedley was sold into industrial service as a stationary boiler at a quarry, and was scrapped as late as August 1929.
