Gajah Mada - Definition and Overview

Gajah Mada (?-1364) was Majapahit's patih (prime minister) and army leader. He took the oath called "Sumpah Palapa" not to eat spicy food until he had conquered Nusantara and placed it under Majapahit Kingdom rule.
