Galactic Federation in the Metroid series

Featured in the Metroid video game series for Nintendo systems. A mysterious, "future United Nations" for the universe, its home planet is Earth. Little is mentioned about it in the series although it plays a major part in the plot. Many missions start on account of lost/missing GF Troopers, experiments gone terribly wrong or fantastically right, directives and contract agreements etc. Their technology is less advanced than Samus's Power Suit but they did save Samus on occasion and provide her with contracts. It is never shown whether she gets any money. The Federation consists of a number of alien races and sometimes start disasters, such as when they unwittingly created the SA-X in Metroid Fusion.

Galactic Federation in Lilo & Stitch

The interstellar government uniting the many alien races in the animated movie Lilo & Stitch is also called the Galactic Federation. The headquarters are on the planet Turo and Earth is a primitive world which is usually avoided.
