Galatas (Greek: Γαλατάς, meaning milkman), is a town located in the eastern part of the peninsula of the Peloponnese. It is the seat of the municipality of Troizina. It is one the easternmost municipality in the peninsula. It is located on a road connecting the rest of the Peloponnese, Argolis and Ligouri and Galatas and the road to Ermioni and Kranidi. It is located E of ancient Troezen, SE of Ligouri, NE of Kranidi and Ermioni and SW of Methana. The island of Poros is only 50 m apart and is a twin town.

Galatas has a small school, a lyceum, a gymnasuim, a church, a post office, banks and a square (plateia). Galatas has a small port which connects the island of Poros and ancient Calauria with small boats. The island is separated by a narrow channel today from the mainland. In ancient times, a sump was between Galatas and Poros Galatas also has some businesses and taverns.

Until the 1960s, there were goats that made milk and cheese for its production.

The area is not as beautiful. It has a good prospect from Galatas to Poros. It is separated.

Archaeological excavations were done near Galatas. A city and a palace were found from the Minoan times.
