Gay Mullins was a retiree from Seattle who fought Coca-Cola's decision to replace the classic formula with "New Coke". Mullins formed a group called "Old Coke Drinkers of America".
Mullins was also an electrical engineer and millionaire; he sued Coca-Cola for changing its formula, and lobbied for the Coca-Cola formula to be released into the public domain.
