George Horatio Nelson, 1st Baron Nelson of Stafford (26 October 1887 — 16 July 1962) was a British engineer, the chairman of the firm English Electric.
Nelson became chairman of EE in 1930. He was later knighted.
Nelson was president of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
He was made a heriditary peer on 20 January 1960.
His son, Henry George Nelson, 2nd Baron Nelson of Stafford succeeded him as both Baron Nelson of Stafford and chariman of English Electric.
